Welcome to Mr. Anderson's Learning Center Math Assignment Blog. It's important to know that our class progresses only as fast as our level of comprehension. In other words, if I don't feel as though the students have a good understanding of a topic taught on Monday, we probably won't move on to Tuesday's lesson topic until we've fully established an understanding of the previous lesson. I'll try to update this blog quickly to accommodate those changes. Tuesday: Continue lesson on Order of Operations. 12 question worksheet, due Wednesday.

Wednesday: Split Class Assignments; Hours 4 and 5: Mult.Bingo. Hour 7: Order of Operations.

Thursday: Two digit multiplication. WKS 20 problems.

Monday: Acuity Testing (paper version). Pythagorean Theorem / Squaring cross-word puzzle.

Tuesday: Grade cross-word. Graphing coordinates on a coordinate plane. Finding distance between two points. worksheet pg. 159 (1-12).

Wednesday: Collect homework. Hand-on equations (introduce subtraction).

Thursday: Hands-on-equations worksheet for homework.

Friday: Computer quiz in the lab / math games.

Wednesday: Reducing fractions worksheets. Due Thursday.

Thursday: Grade worksheets. Adding fractions (like and unlike denominators)

Friday: Computer acuity quizzes. Adding fractions.

Tuesday: Fraction Circuit Training. Students move to various manipulative stations around the room to solve fraction questions.

Wednesday: Adding / Subtracting fractions with like and unlike denominators. Worksheet for homework. Due Thursday.

Thursday: Grade fraction worksheet. Depending on student comprehension, re-teach topic or move on to multiplication / division of fractions.

Friday: Computer lab. Fraction activities.
